แมงมุมกับนก
The Spider and the Bird

A starving spider is looking at a bird catching small insects for food. The spider thought that his web could also catch birds.
The Spider said to itself , “I’m so foolish. I shouldn’t have believed that my web could trap my web could trap a bird,” Then , it started to repair the destroy web to catch insects as usual.

Let’s Take a Break
“Let’s take a break, let’s take a break
It might be better for us”
I don’t mind, I don’t mind your words
Because I don’t know much, I don’t know much
About the true meaning of what you keep saying
I didn’t understand, but I had to pretend that I did
You said we’re too close and it’s not good
Why was it that we always got into some problem whenever we met?
All the right things I used to do turn to be wrong.
It was my fault but I still don’t know where I went wrong
Will you lose your temper if I ask you something?
Do I have to believe you?
Whose words did you borrow when you asked us not to see each other?
“Let’s take a break, let’s take a break”
So that you can love someone else
Just say that you do not love me anymore. Why do you keep staring at me?
“Let’s be apart for a while, let’s separate for a while
But how long would “a while” be?
For all your life or until I die. What’s the reason for taking some time apart?
Why don’t we just break up then?
Don’t make me blame myself
We are acquainted. If you don’t love me , you have to tell me
You’re not me, you don’t know that it hurts to hear those words
All the right things I used to do turn to be wrong
It was my fault but I still don’t know where I went wrong.

I think that the reason I am chose this song because mad to see differences Thai culture and Foreign culture. Thai culture will use word “Let’s take a break”. But Foreign culture will divorce.

Davika to front Shiseido

Shiseido of Japan is spending heavily to boost the popularity of its mass-market prestige, or ``masstige'', cosmetics in East and Southeast Asia, with a Thai actress chosen for the first time as a regional brand ambassador.
Carsten Fischer, corporate senior executive officer at Shiseido Co Ltd, said the company planned to increase sales over the next two years by spending more on marketing, particularly in Thailand, and introducing innovative new products.
It wants to meet the complex demands of East and Southeast Asian women, whose purchasing power has increased in line with regional economic growth.
Mr Fischer said the masstige cosmetics market was growing more rapidly in the region than the regular prestige market.
``Thailand is very important for Shiseido masstige cosmetics in Southeast Asia, because it is the centre in terms of economy, geography and GDP. We rank  Thailand among the top markets in the region,'' he said.
Shiseido's key masstige brands are Za, Majolica Majorca, Aqualabel and Tsubaki.Masato Yamada, managing director of Shiseido (Thailand), said the company had chosen the popular Thai actress Davika ``Mai'' Hoorne as a brand ambassador for Za skin-care and makeup products.
She is the first Thai chosen by the company since Za was introduced locally 14 years ago.She and two other women from Japan and China will serve as presenters for the new Za True White Power Block UV sunscreen.
A new TV commercial featuring Davika will air from next month in all regional markets where Za products are sold.
``The goal is for Shiseido to become No. 1 in masstige cosmetics in East and Southeast Asia, in terms of both volume and quality,'' said Mr Yamada. Mr Yamada expects double-digit growth of Za sales in Thailand this year.

Tablet talks a smashing success
Cambodia demolishes claim to border area

Growing border tensions have eased again now that Cambodia has demolished a stone tablet that claimed it owned a disputed area.
"It has now ended," Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva told the press yesterday after he received a report from the army that the tablet had been destroyed.
The prime minister said Thailand had protested against the stone sign being erected in the disputed area and Cambodia had shown it was prepared to cooperate, which was a positive step.
Cambodia's decision to demolish the controversial tablet came after a tense Tuesday night at the border.
Both countries reinforced troops near the Preah Vihear temple and put them on full alert after Cambodia replaced the original tablet which accused Thai soldiers of trespassing with a new one. The new tablet carried an even stronger message, declaring that the disputed area in which it had been erected belonged to Cambodia.
The 2nd Army, responsible for the border area, moved in troops and heavy war weapons and conducted military training near the area.
The tablet was placed in front of Kaew Sikha Khiri Sawara temple which is near the Preah Vihear temple. The stone was replaced on the weekend on the orders of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen but the new message was more aggressive, reading "Here! is Cambodia".
After receiving an order to "do anything" to get Cambodia to remove the new tablet, at around 11am yesterday, Lt Gen Tawatchai Samutsakhon, the 2nd Army commander, led about 20 armed soldiers to Kaew Sikha Khiri Sawara temple to demand the Cambodian troops remove the new tablet.
Four companies of soldiers were deployed at the foot of the hill and were ordered to be ready to act.
The 2nd Army chief asked Cambodian commanders why they had erected the tablet as both sides had promised not to build anything to claim territory in the disputed area. The Cambodian authorities replied that their foreign ministry had told them to put the tablet there.
Lt Gen Tawatchai asked them to destroy it to ease the discomfort of the Thai soldiers and people.
"If you don't remove such a negative tablet, I will erect a "Here! is Thailand" tablet nearby as well," Lt Gen Tawatchai told his Cambodian counterparts.
After an hour of negotiations, the Cambodians agreed to destroy the tablet."I don't know why they agreed. At about 12.15pm, Cambodia had its soldiers destroy the new tablet. I watched them do it. I smashed it too. I wanted to participate," Lt Gen Tawatchai said."I spoke to them nicely and stuck to the reason of what could happen if the tablet remained.
"We are neighbours and should coexist peacefully. No one would like a war and then they agreed," said the 2nd Army chief who previously received a medal for bravery after taking part in a battle at the Chon Bok border pass in Ubon Ratchathani following a territorial dispute involving Thailand, Cambodia and Laos in 1987.
"Before ascending to the temple, I told them beforehand that I would be there and Gen Chea Dara, their deputy supreme commander, and Lt Gen Sai Deuk, the commander of their 4th regional army, were waiting for me," Lt Gen Tawatchai said.
He said the 2nd Army is now deploying five paramilitary rangers to stay with Cambodian soldiers at their 795 border patrol base behind Kaew Sikha Khiri Sawara temple to coordinate with them.
Lt Gen Tawatchai did not send any Thai troops to stay overnight at Kaew Sikha Khiri Sawara but Thai soldiers can still reach the temple which is in the 4.6-square-kilometre disputed area.
Mr Abhisit yesterday said the traning of Thai soldiers near the border was a routine military mission.
As for Thai Patriots Network coordinator Veera Somkwamkid and Ratree Pipattanapaiboon who have been accused of illegal entry into Cambodia and espionage, Mr Abhisit pledged that his government would continue to help them They are awaiting a court ruling on their case scheduled for Feb1.

No end to the woes in South

Security forces are going through a far too familiar routine in the wake of a murderous attack on an army base in the deep South. Last week's raid on a remote and exposed base in the Narathiwat mountains left four soldiers dead and six wounded. The raiders took away all the arms at the base - reported at first as a minor armoury, but later as only personal weapons.
The army has sent out major units to comb the rugged area in case they can find the attackers or other militant gangs. Seven youths have been detained for questioning, and one is being held for an indefinite period. Police are seeking warrants to arrest three suspects who may have had a role in the attack.
The army patrols, the promises to increase security at bases, the arrests and interrogations - all have been seen before. Fourth Army Commander Lt Gen Udomchai Thammasarorat is calm and reassuring. The army is winning the conflict in the South, he told this newspaper. Soldiers have never done anything to upset local residents in the four provinces where violence broke out more than six years ago. In last week's raid, "we admit we were rather careless," he said, but security will be tightened up.
The interview by Lt Gen Udomchai has become familiar over the years. Similar words were spoken by many of his predecessors commanding the 4th Army Region in the 1970s and 1980s, and again during the past decade. It is almost as familiar as the failures of successive governments in the same time period - to address the complaints of southerners and to seize control of a perplexing, largely political problem that has caused thousands of deaths and uprooted tens of thousands of lives in the region.
The attack on Jan 19 was a daring one by the gangs which have sought for years to terrorise the people of the South and to frustrate the army's effort to keep the area safe. It is deeply troubling that the extremists managed to put together a platoon sized military force in Rangae district of Narathiwat without being detected. Their leaders armed the men with a variety of weapons including automatic rifles, trained them and planned an attack on an army base. The camp may have been small by some standards, but the Ror 15121 unit was charged both with security of the area and with maintaining a government presence in a locale where militants were known to operate. The slain commander of the base was well known for his efforts to work with local communities. This could even have been the motive of the attackers, for the extremists are discredited by every friendly contact between the government and the southern villagers.
The armed forces can point to various successes in the South. But the truth is that the best it has achieved in the past six years has been occasional periods where the killing and terrorist-type attacks have decreased. Murders, bombings and assassinations by the extremist gangs has never halted. All-out suppression has failed to stop the killing, let alone achieve any sort of viable peace in the deep South.
The long suffering people of the South deserve a better effort from the government and military alike. For years, the government has been bereft of ideas of how to approach the deep and murderous problems in the South. The army has failed to gain better information which could serve to stop major raids such as the shocking one last week. It is impossible to see that the army is winning the southern conflict. All evidence indicates that the best case is only that the security forces are not losing.

Reds unfazed after ICC says it can't help
UDD examines other avenues to sue Abhisit

The red shirt movement is vowing to continue its fight against the government despite being told by the International Criminal Court that it could not help the group in an action to sue the Abhisit administration over alleged violence against its critics.
United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship chair Thida Thavornset said yesterday the movement could pursue other international avenues after representatives of the ICC indicated the court had no jurisdiction to decide on "political crimes" in Thailand.
Ms Thida and Jatuporn Prompan, a Puea Thai Party MP and leading member of the UDD, met the ICC's second vice-president, Hans-Peter Kaul, yesterday to discuss the scope of the court's authority in relation to the political situation in Thailand.
The meeting took place against the backdrop of a major rally by the red shirts in which tens of thousands gathered at Ratchaprasong intersection in the early afternoon before moving to the Democracy Monument on Ratchadamnoen Avenue. Traffic was paralysed on Petchaburi Road and in nearby areas.
The red shirt leaders announced they had agreed to hold rallies just once a month, instead of the two they have been staging.
Mr. Kaul told Ms Thida and Mr Jatuporn that Thailand did not fall under the jurisdiction of the Netherlands-based court as Bangkok had yet to ratify the treaty it signed in 2000.
He also explained how the ICC worked and showed the UDD leaders a book of guidelines. He refused to discuss Thai political issues.
Ms Thida and Mr. Jatuporn tried to explain the underlying problems that led to the violence that claimed 93 lives in April and May last year as red shirt protesters sought to overthrow the government. German ambassador Hanns Heinrich Schumacher also attended the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of an ICC conference on the protection of human rights in Bangkok.
"We were told it was unlikely the ICC would be the relevant adjudicator for the case of the crackdown against the red shirt protesters," Ms Thida said.
"But we are not discouraged by the technical limitations. We can pursue other international avenues for bringing the government to justice."
Red shirt sympathisers had hoped the ICC would accept a case against the government.
Shopping malls around the Ratchaprasong intersection were open as usual during yesterday's red shirt rally, police said. Mr. Jatuporn said the red shirt leaders planned to address the demonstrators at Ratchadamnoen Avenue until midnight before dispersing.
National police chief Wichean Potephosree has spoken to senior police via video-conference on ways to prevent potential bloodshed between the UDD and the rival People's Alliance for Democracy. The PAD will hold a demonstration tomorrow at Makkhawan Bridge near Government House and some police fear red shirts could turn out to confront them. Senior police have been ordered to keep demonstrators from the two camps away from key government offices and parliament.
